- 1944-P Jefferson Nickel. MS-67+ FS (PCGS). Dressed in delicate golden iridescence, this lovely Superb Gem also exhibits a halo of warmer sandy-apricot color around the obverse periphery. Frosty surfaces are smooth enough to tempt perfection, and they also include full striking detail throughout the design. From the popular Wartime Jefferson nickel series of 1942 to 1945, and a Condition Census rarity from the 1944-P issue. Provenance: From the George "Buddy" Byers Buckeye Collection.
